作家として生きる道を考えていた頃、銅版画ではプレス機の大きさ以上の作品が作れないこと、
また、銅版画のクオリティを維持しつつも、それ以上に、より自由な表現の可能性を模索していました。
試行錯誤の結果、銅版画をコラージュすることで大きさの制限から開放され、
同時に絵具で自由に描くことにより独自の世界観を創り出すことに挑戦しています。

2004年 多摩美術大学大学院博士前期課程美術研究科版画領域修了
2012-13年 文化庁新進芸術家海外研修員としてフランスに滞在 [１年間]

•About Asuka Irie
When I was considering a career as an artist, I realized that copperplate prints could not produce works larger than the size of a press, and that I needed to find a way to create more freedom of expression.
I was also searching for the possibility of more freedom of expression than that, while still maintaining the quality of copperplate prints.
Through trial and error, I found that by collaging copperplate prints, I could free myself from the limitation of size, and at the same time, I could create my own works by drawing freely with paint.
At the same time, he challenges himself to create his own unique view of the world by painting freely with paints.

2012-13 Stayed in France as an overseas trainee for emerging artists by Agency for Cultural Affairs [1 year].

2018年12月株式会社MORIYAを設立し、CEOに就任。現在はオーラアートという、人や場所、企業（コミュニティ）の持つエネルギーを色彩で表現する絵画を制作している。

ステートメント:
主に1人にフォーカスした人物画を描く。
モチーフは武将や和服の女性、日本の神々など、日本のものが多いが、そこに現代の要素を絡め時代考証に拘らない表現を取り入れている。
描くスタイルの方向性は色のグラデーションを多く施したリアル寄りのものと、現代浮世絵ポップに似た線とベタ塗りに少しのグラデーションを加えた2通りのものがある。前者は新古典主義の質感に現代の感性を織り込んだ作風として『令和新古典主義』、後者は耽美主義のうちエログロやスプラッター表現を露骨に描くことを好まない作風として『ソフト耽美主義』のジャンルを掲げて確立を目指している。

幻冬舎様より画集を出版していただく予定。現在掲載作品を鋭意制作中。
