砂時計をながめるように６０秒でゆっくり完成する福岡県大牟田市の世界遺産「宮原坑」のモザイクアートです （サムネイルは短くなっています） モザイクの中には同じく大牟田市の世界遺産である三池港の写真も入っています 60seconds-MosaicArt(thumbnail is shorter) There are some photos of MiikePort (is also World Heritage) in this photo of MiyanoharaPit. 【世界遺産】三池炭鉱　宮原坑第二立坑（みいけたんこう　みやのはらこうだいにたてこう） 福岡県大牟田市 1898(明治31)年-1931(昭和6)年 1889(明治22)年、三井は明治政府から三池炭鉱を払い下げを受けましたが、すでに開坑していた七浦坑、宮浦坑内では大量の湧水により石炭採掘に困難をきたしていたため、宮原坑は主に排水目的に開坑しました。 操業後（第一立坑は1898(明治31)年、第二立坑は1901(明治34)年完成。現存は第二立坑のみ）は揚炭・入気・排水・人員昇降等に使われ、三池炭鉱の主力坑となりました。 坑内排水にはイギリスから当時世界最大級の馬力を誇ったデビーポンプを第一、第二立坑に２台ずつ導入し排水問題を解決しました。 1930(昭和5)年まで囚人労働が行われ、その過酷な労働から修羅坑とも呼ばれました。 1931(昭和6)年閉坑後も排水や坑内点検のため近年まで稼働していました。 三池炭鉱宮原坑 www.miike-coalmines.jp/miyanohara.html 施設公開日カレンダー www.miike-coalmines.jp/ [World Heritage] Miyanohara Pit (No.2 of two headframes has still remained) of Miike Coal Mine, 1898-1931. Miyanohara Pit was opened in 1898 for draining water out of coal mine, because groundwater had prevented from mining coal in Nanaura Pit and Miyaura Pit since before Mitsui group purchased Miike Coal Mine from Meiji government in 1889. After the opening, Miyanohara Pit became a main pit of Miike Coal Mine which had been used for unloading coal, intaking air, water pumping, raising and lowering workers. The drainage problem was solved by 4 Davey pumps here from Britain which boasted the highest capacity in the world at that time. There were also many prisoners who had worked in the pit until 1930.
