空間をデザインしながら、「この壁を飾る“何か”があれば」と、森田は思うのだと言う。求めたのは、重厚かつ軽やかな存在感。背反するテーゼを共存させる“何か”を探し回っても、見つけることは叶わなかった。ならば自分の理想を追ってもいいのではないかと考えた。その際に選んだのが、写真だった。なぜか。「モノクロームの階調は、他の表現では表出し得ないものだから」と、森田は答える。抽象と具象を行き来し、その中間をグラデーションによって表現するモノクロームの写真に答えを見つけた。
森田にとってアートとは常に見られることを前提としたものである。壁からの要求によって生み出された写真たちは、翻って壁に飾られることによって空間を統べる力を宿している。たとえ自らがデザインした空間ではなくとも、その力は変わることはない。森田はミニマルな写真によって、普遍的な価値を追い求めている。

Morita says that when designing interiors, he would think to himself, “That wall needs something on it right there.”  Something with an imposing presence, but a light feeling.  He searched for, but was unable to find, something that fulfilled both these antithetical criteria.  And so he decided to create his own ideal piece of interior décor, and the medium he chose was photography.  Why? According to Morita, “Its monochromatic gradations cannot be achieved in any other medium.”  He found what he was looking for in black and white photographs that traverse the border between abstraction and representation, their gradations expressing the ambiguity of this intermediate zone.  For Morita, art is something to be continuously looked at.  His photographs were born out of the blank wall’s calls for something to be placed on it, but conversely, when hung on the wall they have an innate power to command the space they inhabit. This power remains unchanged even in interiors that Morita did not design himself. His minimalist photographs embody a quest for universal values .

ひとつ10,000,000円の束は「わずか5分でリアリティを失ってしまう」と森田は言う。翻って、写し出されているのは人間の浅はかさではないか。価値を剥ぎ取られた1,000,000,000円は幾重にも積み上げられ、東京のビル群のように、あるいは重厚な壁面のように、見る者によって表情を変える。数の羅列でしかなくなった紙の束が問いかけてくる。さて、価値とは、いったい？

When “real” stacks of paper money are piled up high and lined up in a row, they seem to lose their “real” value – even though they would, in reality, put almost anything you can imagine within your reach.
According to Morita, the stacks of bills, each worth 10 million Japanese yen, “seem to become unreal in just five minutes.” What manifests itself instead is the shallow and ephemeral nature of humankind. Stripped of value, the billion yen in paper looms like the towering skyscrapers of Tokyo, or like a colossal wall, presenting different aspects to different viewers. Reduced to a mere sequence of numerals, the stacked-up blocks of bills seem to be asking: what does value mean, anyway?

●NFT作品名と音の説明
NFT作品名の冒頭に付加された、前半の数字が楽譜の何小節目か、後半の数字がその小節での何音目かを表現している。作品名が「1-1 "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" Ryuichi Sakamoto 坂本龍一」の場合は、1小節目の1音目のNFTを表す。

音源に関しては下記法則に沿っています。
1. 該当音の切り出しは、右手のトップノートが基準です。
2. 音終わりが欠けてしまう該当音については、2小節分の長さで書き出しています。
3. 各小節のラストノート（最後の1音）は、次の小節に渡って音が響いています。切り出した音を小節内の楽譜と同じ正しい位置に置くとその音が途切れてしまいます、そのため便宜上、このWAVデータでは位置を調整し、1秒前に配置しています。

One of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s signature pieces, “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - 2021”, was recorded at Bunkamura Studio in Tokyo on July 30th, 2021, while fighting against illness, his only recording of this work in 2021. The 595 music notes of the melody on the right hand were digitally divided one by one and converted into a unique NFT.

The one bar music sheet's emphasized note indicates which part in the composition each NFT item corresponds to. Every note is numbered for each bar, composing a total of 595 notes from 96 bars. The piece is complete only when all 595 music notes are gathered.
 There is only one item for each note in the world, being the first NFT by Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Furthermore, the owners of this collectible NFT item can join the auction for “NFT for the rights to obtain “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” by Ryuichi Sakamoto handwritten music sheet” starting on December 24th, 2021.
